Welcome! My name is Larry Williams, and I’m glad you’ve taken a moment to visit this website.

Many people today assume that Christian faith requires us to stop thinking—that faith and reason are somehow in conflict. Others have sincere questions about Christianity They wonder whether the Bible is reliable, whether the claims of Jesus are credible, or whether the Christian worldview still makes sense in the modern world.

The name A Reasoned Christian Faith reflects a conviction that Christianity is not opposed to careful thinking. In fact, the Christian faith has always invited thoughtful reflection about truth, about life, and about the nature of God. These are important questions. This project exists to explore them thoughtfully and honestly.

Our Foundation

I want to be very clear about the foundation of this project. My perspective is grounded in historic, biblical Christianity.

I believe the Bible is the inspired and trustworthy Word of God. Its message centers on Jesus Christ—His life, His sacrificial death, and His resurrection. I believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

And I believe that the teachings of Scripture—from Genesis to Revelation—are true and trustworthy.

But believing these things does not mean we avoid difficult questions. On the contrary, Christianity invites us to think carefully about what we believe and why we believe it

So on this website, we will explore three major areas.

• • First, we will consider questions about faith and reason—why the Christian worldview makes sense and how it speaks to the deepest questions of life.
  • Second, we will talk about Christian living—how biblical principles guide us toward a meaningful and faithful life.
  • And third, we will explore discernment—how to recognize truth,avoid deceptionand navigate the many competing ideas that exist in our culture today.
